Welcome to Framing with PSP Tutorial

Open a new image 300 x 300
with a transparent background
and setting of 16.7 million colors.

Your image will look like the one to the right.

Now we will apply a picture frame to the image.

Go to Image on your menu

Move down and Select Picture Frame

A new popup menu box will appear.

Use the dropdown menu to select the picture frame of your choice.

For this tutorial I am using stain 3 picture frame.

When you select the frame
a thumbnail version of it will appear in the menu box.

Click the Next Button in the popup menu box.

The next popup menu will show two versions of your frame selection.

You can have the frame applied to the inside of your image

or added to the outside of your image.

For this tutorial we leave the default of apply to inside of the image.

Your image should now look like the one to the left.

If you look at your layer palette there will be two layers.

The upper most layer in the palette will have the word picture frame as a title.

The background layer will be called layer1.
