Creating Glass Flowers in Paint Shop Pro Using Eye Candy 3.0 - Page 3
Now we will add a background and use PSP mosaic effect to create a pleasing background for your image.
Add a new layer and move it under your flower layer.
Flood fill with a complementary color, I choose a pale blue.
Go to your layer pallette and duplicate your glassed flower layer.
Turn off the copy of layer and be sure that the original flower layer is active.
Click on your deformation tool.
(square tool between the magnifying glass and crop tool)
and pull your flower image out so that it fills the entire background area.
DO NOT WORRY IF IT LOOKS WARPED _ IT MAY AND THAT IS OKAY.
BE SURE THAT YOUR GLASSED FLOWER IMAGE IS NOT active (red x on layer).
Now go to Layers and Merge (Visible) the two bottom layers.
Go to Effects,
Texture, Mosaic Glass and use the settings below.
Now we will add a drop shadow around our flower.
Move to your flower layer. Use your selection tool to draw a rectangle around the entire flower and then click within the selection to select the flower.
Go to Effects,
Drop Shadow
and use settings
to the right
If the flower is not quite centered,
you can crop the image at this time.
We will finish with a glass outer frame.
Go to Image, add borders and add a border of 8 pixels,
use a color that compliments your image (I used a dark blue).
Select the added border area
and go to effects, plugins, Eye Candy and select Glass.
Use settings to the left and leave the area selected when you finish applying Eye Candy.
Now apply a drop shadow of 2 and then repeat with minus 2. And your image is complete.
