I just got Paint Shop Pro and Now what do I do?

Color Pallet - Finally something dealing with graphics....
The color pallet is located to the right of your workspace and looks like the image to your right.
On the top of the multicolored pallet are two squares. The red colored one to the right is foreground color and the blue one is background color.
The multicolored box shows all the available colors and can be used to select colors.
Below the box there are two sets of controls, styles and textures. And two boxes for each.
The top box is for foreground and the bottom one is for background.
Below these boxes is a little box that says lock. When clicked the colors will not change when you move from tool to tool. When unlocked the colors will revert to the last color used with that tool.
The box below this shows that I have my default set to RGB (RED GREEN BLUE) in file preferences.
If you set your preferences differently then there will be a different box there.

Styles
These boxes determine what style of color your want to use.
Choices are Solid, Gradient, Pattern, Null(none).
Click on the little arrow shape and drag to selection to change our choice.
Double click on the color/gradient/pattern to change it
A popup menu will appear with selections available.
Textures are either on or off.
Click on the little arrow shape and drag to selection
Double click on the texture to change
The little menu will appear and when you click on the
arrow you will see all the textures available.
Let's Play a Little
Flood fill with solid color.
Select a Pattern on your styles pallet (I chose cracked emerald)
You can change scale (size) and angle of your fill when you select it.

TEXTURES
Select a Texture for your fill. I chose ocean
click on the arrow and select the graining looking option.
Double click and select a texture from the menu
